Company Management Bios

Andrew Spann, President

Andrew Spann purchased Professional Employment Group (PEG) in 2002. Under his leadership, the company has more than tripled in size and has added specializations in Engineering and Information Technologies. It has also expanded into Chicago, Kansas City and Denver.

Prior to purchasing PEG, Andy was president of Spann Building Maintenance Company for 10 years and was also Vice President-Investment Banking for A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. for five years. He received his MBA from Washington University in 2005 and his BA degree from Denison University in 1981.

Brian Durow, Managing Director, IT & Engineering

Prior to joining Professional Employment Group in November 2006, Brian Durow was the Regional Vice President of Hudson IT & Engineering, which provided staffing solutions to multiple companies throughout North America. As a Regional Vice President for the IT division, he was responsible for the management of internal staff, individual market strategies, and P&L's. During his tenure there, he oversaw up to eight offices and more than 400 consultants.

Throughout his career, Brian has been extremely active in the implementation of business strategies, sales processes and recruiter development. He started his career with Allegis Group where he spent eight years developing and delivering strategic business plans for the St. Louis market as it pertained to Environmental, Engineering, and Light Industrial. At the same time, he built a staff of sales associates, recruiters and administrators to support that business.

Brian graduated in 1995 from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a BS in Business Administration.

Dan Rottinghaus, Director of Engineering Staffing

Dan Rottinghaus began his career in the staffing industry in 1993 as a recruiter with The Allegis Group. Since then, he has worked his way through the industry holding various positions of increasing responsibility, including account representative, sales manager and branch manager. He has also been directly responsible for both internal training and market development in both the Kansas City and Denver markets, as well as instrumental in national business development. Having worked in various disciplines, Dan understands the need to customize solutions for each client. He joins Professional Employment Group looking to expand our presence in the Western region in both the IT and Engineering markets. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in Finance and Real Estate.

Jeffrey Nicoll, Director of IT Staffing

Prior to joining Professional Employment Group in 2008, Jeffrey Nicoll was the Vice President of Sales for Fruition Partners, an IT training and consulting Firm. From 2004 until 2007, he was the Chicago Practice Manager for Hudson Global Resources managing IT Contract, IT Permanent, and Learning and Performance Practices. Before joining Hudson, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for TSG's Healthcare IT practice.

Jeff's accomplishments range from building new offices in eight cities from scratch to separating out industry focused IT practices from existing billion-dollar organizations. He received his BA from Southern Illinois University, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Psychology.

Rachael Bedolli, Director of Operations and Commercial Staffing

Rachael Bedolli joined Professional Employment Group in 2002 as a recruiter specializing in Finance, Customer Service, and HR staffing. She currently leads the Commercial Staffing Division where she has developed on-site management programs, vendor management solutions, and specialty sourcing networks. Additionally, she directs the internal operations for PEG. Her strategic focus includes developing system infrastructure, risk management, contracts, marketing, and employee training programs.

Prior to PEG, Rachael worked in retail management directing HR, logistics, merchandising, and customer service. She holds a BA degree from Western Illinois University with a double emphasis in PCHR (Public Communications and Human Resources) and Marketing/ Management. She has also obtained her Professional Human Resources certification through the Society of Human Resource Management and is a member of the Employment Management Association of St. Louis.

Diane Dazey, Director of Full Time Staffing

With more than 15 years in the recruitment and full-time staffing arena, Diane Dazey is responsible for opening PEG's Full Time Placement Division in 1996. Prior to PEG, Diane worked seven years for a National Staffing Company, where she trained several offices and sat on the advisory board for their corporate office. There, Diane earned the title of Senior Placement Specialist and she was consistently one of their top billers.

She received her BS degree from Missouri State University in 1989.
