We’ve partnered with a very well respected growing large St. Louis based company to find their Sales & Use Multi-State Tax Manager/Lead (Indirect Tax Manager).  This is a newly created position and will have buy-in to suggest and provide leadership and continuous improvement to the team and the organization.  You will be responsible for the State Sales tax function and also some state income tax work. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for all sales & use tax processes, including directing IT resources regarding ERP integration, advising divisional finance leaders, and overseeing co-sourced return preparation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant state and local tax laws and that tax returns and payments are processed timely and in the correct manner.
• Oversee the timely and accurate filing of state income and franchise tax returns.
• Assist in resolving state tax audits and inquiries, including tax notices, when required.
• Review the preparation of quarterly estimates and extension calculations for state and local jurisdictions.
• Research and draft technical memoranda regarding state and local tax questions
• Manage and review the state and local blended tax rate including monitoring for state tax law changes, timely analysis and calculations of the impact of tax law changes on state temporary differences and deferred taxes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressive experience including experience preparing and reviewing State and Local tax returns in various jurisdictions.
• Experience reviewing tax provisions in accordance with ASC740.
